Visual Effects Foundations (45 hours)
This module provides an overview of film and cinematography as well as a firm foundation of the visual effects. Students will learn the history, production pipeline, various roles of the industry and the main elements of the visual effects such as Pre-Viz, Production, Digital Effects, Post- Production and Technical Direction.


Compositing and Post Production (45 hours)
This module trains the students in compositing visual effects for film and video, combining CGI elements with live action into a final sequence using professional industry tools such as Nuke.


Texturing, Lighting and Rendering (45 hours)
This module is designed to give students a comprehensive overview of the theory and practice of texturing, lighting and rendering 3D models.


Dynamics and Particle Effects (45 hours)
This module is designed to give students a comprehensive overview and foundation of dynamics and particle effects using Visual Effects professional industry tools such as Houdini.


Visual Effects Project (120 hours)
This module is an individual based project where students are required to produce a short digital film or commercial, compositing various live-action film elements with computer generated images. The emphasis in on how the students are able to synthesize the techniques they learned and employ the use of post-production and CG technology to create and enhance the film or commercial.
